Zusammenfassung:The main criteria for judging coating performance were coefficient of friction and wear rate, which had to be less than 0.1 and 10-6 mm3/(N.m), respectively. Carbon‐ and nitrogen‐ion‐implanted, fine‐grain, chemical‐vapor‐deposited (CVD) diamond and diamondlike carbon (DLC) ion beam deposited on fine‐grain CVD diamond met the criteria regardless of environment (vacuum, nitrogen, and air).
