Zusammenfassung:The friction of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) elastomers is quantified at two different scales: at the macroscopic scale with a tribometer, and at the nanoscopic scale, using atomic force microscopy (AFM). The objective is firstly to verify if friction behaviours are comparable at both scales, and secondly to define molecular mechanisms to be able to explain the measured properties.
