Zusammenfassung: | AbstractField measurements of wind speeds, wind directions and acceleration responses on top of the Shanghai World Financial Center building (SWFC), which is 492 m high, were obtained from 2011 to 2016 when the adjacent Shanghai Tower, which is 632 m high, was under construction. This paper utilizes these data to study the amplitude dependencies of the dynamic properties of the SWFC and the effect of the adjacent and newly built Shanghai Tower on the dynamic properties of the SWFC. The findings demonstrate that the natural frequencies of the two fundamental modes of the SWFC decreased with the vibration amplitude and construction phase of the Shanghai Tower. The opposite finding was observed for the damping ratios. |
