Zusammenfassung:Magalhaes BL, Rosseto LP, Yasuda TM, Pereira ECR, Bispo SL, Santos MG, Oliveira LVF, Oliveira-Silva I, Oliveira ASB, Santos VR, Parreira SLS. Quality of Life among Assistive Technology Users: What is the Paralympic Sport Contribution? JEP online 2019;22(3):57-63. The purpose of this study was to verify the sports participation in the perception of quality of life among assistive technology users. Twenty-three subjects had some type of physical disability for more than 1 yr. They were divided into 2 groups: (a) Paralympic Group (n = 16); and (b) Control Group (n = 11). The subjects were between 18 and 47 yrs of age. They were regular users of some assistive technology. All participants completed a form used for general characterization and completed the WHOQOL-BREF quality of life questionnaire. The significance level was set at an alpha level of P[less than or equal to]0.05. The findings indicate that the Paralympic sport improved the perception of quality of life among assistive technology users. Key Words: Deficiencies, Perception QoL, Wellness
