Zusammenfassung:On September 18, 2002, the members of the House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee released a staff draft omnibus Digital Television bill. Of particular concern is the effect of uncertainty on business planning and the need to ensure that consumers benefit in a meaningful way from the transition from analog to digital programming. The draft bill follows 2 prior hearings on the issue and 6 lengthy industry roundtables over the course of the last 10 months.
