Zusammenfassung:The September 11 terrorist attacks prompted Attorney General John Ashcroft to send Congress a bill responding to terrorism on a variety of different fronts. The proposed legislation, titled the Patriot (Provide Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism) Act, will, among other measures, increase the government's ability to monitor communications and share that information among police and government agencies.
