Zusammenfassung:This paper describes the analysis of field measurements of a wave bore on the pycnocline of a shallow sea, carried out using vertically placed thermal resistors. The space-time structure of the bore is subjected to hydrodynamic interpretation using the mathematical model of a weakly dispersed shallow sea, which accounts for the influence of cubic nonlinearity and low-frequency dispersion. The limiting amplitude and minimal length of soliton solutions of the model are determined. An algorithm for estimating the given parameters on the basis of measurement data of bore-induced isotherm pulsations is proposed. The limiting amplitude and minimal length of solitary waves on the pycnocline in the coastal zone of the Japan sea are estimated.
