Zusammenfassung: | Using literary texts for the teaching of French becomes a more usual practice since Chantreau (1781). French grammars start including texts by major XVII and XVIII century authors but soon the volume of texts presented leads authors to integrate them in anthologies that end up becoming extra materials in grammars. A duality that imposes each time more along with a subsequent multiplication of the selected pieces. We wish to draw the attention to Tramarría's anthology (1846), who handles diverse texts from the classical times with great skill without discarding others closer in time. Above all, it is necessary to underline a set of texts of some rhetorical value in that work which constitute a truly arsdiscendi , thus becoming the central core in that anthology and a special case in his time. We cannot resist to carry out a comparative study with Fernández de Castroverde's (1868) German grammar since the texts he uses represent a close initiative to Tramarria's. Fernández de Castroverde considers it necessary to make use of the major German eighteenth and nineteenth-century authors with the aim to draw the attention to the German language questioning the primacy of French as a foreign language in Spain. |
