Zusammenfassung:Pure and Ni doped SnO2 nanoparticles (NPs) have been prepared for the application as a photocatalysts to degrade RhB organic dye. Herein, we report that in comparison to pure SnO2, Ni doped NPs exhibit excellent photocatalytic degradation of RhB under UV light. The degradation of dyes is found to be enhancing in the presence of Ni2+ ions as it suppress the electron holerecombination. The high degradation rate of RhB on the as-synthesized 6% Ni-SnO2 NPs can be attributed to the small size. The degradation mechanism is also discussed.
