Zusammenfassung: | The so-named Ireland's Great Hunger Museum is not of course Ireland's at all. It belongs to and is within the campus of, Quinnipiac University, the American college some ten miles north of New Haven, Connecticut. The museum houses one of the world's largest collections of visual art, artefacts and printed materials relating to the Irish Famine. This remarkable collection would not exist at all were it not for one determined Irish-American, and, President of Quinnipiac University for 29 years, John Lahey. |
