Fletcher offers her insights regarding the film work, How to Make a Refugee, by Phil Collins from the IMMA Collection. She says that when she first saw the film work, she truly understood the capacity of art to expand or at least share an experience between the artist and the viewer. She also explains that for so many reasons, the work is important to her because it spoke to a moment in her young adult life when we were filled with hope. She considers Collins as one of the first artists who instantly understood how the camera, in its effort to represent, can be violent too.
