Environmental management in Las Tunas Basic Beekeeping Business Unit in Majibacoa

The research deals with the study in Las Tunas Beekeeping Basic State Unit in Majibacoa to develop appropriate environmental management. It started from the development of a theoretical framework and the diagnosis of the current state of beekeeping in Majibacoa municipality, where some difficulties determined were: poor environmental management of apiaries, loss of biodiversity, the practice of monoculture (sugar cane), breach of Decree law 176 on the protection of beekeeping and apicultural resources, and the use of pesticides in Agriculture. Taking into consideration those, an action plan was developed to improve environmental management in the Apiculture Unit, which helps to mitigate the shortcomings identified to increase its production.
