The entrepreneurship and the socialism of the 21st. century: ¿A paradoxical link-up or a support for the economic development?

Through the present research, it is sought to identify the relationship between the public policies of 21st-century socialism and the entrepreneurship in Ecuador. To attain this, a historical synthesis of XXI century socialism is made, as a current political trend in Latin America, and its gravitation in the Ecuadorian context. Additionally, the social and solidarial economy is also analyzed for its influence on the political and economic change that Ecuador has undergone in the last decade. Finally, the entrepreneurship: its origin and importance is addressed and it is evident that the change of the productive matrix is an ambitious policy that tries to articulate the public with the private, besides being a motivator for the new entrepreneurs.
