Partial results of the feasibility study of the Project: Construction of “El Prado” Oriental Market, Riobamba city, Chimborazo Province

Oriented to propose an alternative solution to a social problem, the article provides information of empirical nature that contributes to optimization in the use of private and public resources assigned to the investment / development project "Construction of the new oriental market "El Prado", Riobamba city, Chimborazo Province", facilitating decision-making associated to the project. Its feasibility is demonstrated, taking into account the analysis of the financial indicators: current net value, internal rate of return, and cost-benefit relationship. In addition, the fact that members of local faculty and university students also participate enhances the academic contribution to the society and can serve as a reference for similar cases.
