Zusammenfassung:This article supports the need for a pedagogical and didactic contextualization in professional training centers for teachers, due to the transformations carried out in the present 21st century, globally and locally. Different theoretical alternatives related to the teacher training centers are analyzed, based on the diversity of criteria related to the topic, which allows for an approximation to the significance of these centers in the current socio-educational Ecuadorian problematic.
