The production of sugar cane and its impact on the economic situation in the sugar cane farmers of Huamboya canton

In current socio-economic scenarios, sugar cane cultivation represents an option for the agricultural producers of the sub-Andean valleys. This implies that the countries of the region must face the typical problems of the sugar agroindustry, of a multicausal, multidisciplinary and complex nature, in order to achieve a true development of sustainable agriculture. The objective of this work is to identify the economic situation of this human group, contrast it with its productive characteristics, but above all, to identify their potential from a humanist perspective with a marked intention of improving their farming systems, increasing their productivity and modifying the economic-financial status of the population of the Huamboya canton in Morona Santiago province.
