Zusammenfassung:In the current stage, marked by a remarkable development of the tourism sector, professionals are required to evolve at the same speed as the market does, or even to anticipate these changes. However, there is evidence of the distancing between academia and the sector, which receives professionals who are not trained in the best rated competencies, which negatively impacts performance. This study aims to assess the main shortcomings of the current state of the university training process of human resources of tourism and its need for improvement in line with the demands of the labor market.
