Singlet-Oxygen Chemiluminescence in Peroxide Reactions

A study of chemiluminescence--the process of transforming chemical energy into light emission--in peroxide reactions is presented. In chemiluminescent peroxide systems, singlet oxygen either acts as the direct emitter or it constitutes the oxidant to mediate light emission.
