Zusammenfassung:We demonstrate Trp-containing PNA/Alexa Fluor 488 (AL488)-labeled DNA hybrid partitions preferentially into liquid-ordered (lo) microdomains of GUV. The Trp quenches the fluorescence of AL488 microscopically. The mechanism involved collisional and static quenching, both of which proceeded effectively. The static quenching indicates an AL488–Trp complex through a stacking interaction.
