O BÁSNICKEJ INŠPIRÁCII MAŠE HAĽAMOVEJ

The study, based on archival materials available in the Literary Archives of the Slovak National Library together with plenty of handwritten texts and correspondence by Maša Haľamová, highlights the impulses that led the poet to write selected poems, revealing the genesis of her poetic inspiration, her author's intention and the spiritual essence of her lyric poetry. The article also contains Haľamová's numerous notes on her own works, motifs and ideas, which provide the reader with new insights into her poetry, and offer the key to interpretation of her spiritual message.
