Zusammenfassung:To the Editor: TNP-470 is a new inhibitor of angiogenesis that has shown potent antitumor activity in preclinical studies. 1 – 4 We performed a phase 1 study of this drug in patients with advanced squamous-cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix. 5 One of the patients in the study was a 49-year-old woman who had presented in 1992 with stage IIIA, poorly differentiated squamous-cell carcinoma of the cervix. She was treated with a combination of external and intracavitary radiation therapy.
