Zusammenfassung:Article 30 of the Building Standards Act stipulates that “the partitioning walls of each unit must reach the attic space or ceiling space”. For the purpose of validating the above stipulation in Article 30, this paper reports the results of the investigation which was made based upon the use of a real building to examine the impact that the existence of partitioning walls in attic spaces and possible changes in specifications of attic spaces may have on sound insulation properties of the wall between neighboring units.
