Zusammenfassung: | There are over 2,470 buildings illegally located in the urbanization control area of Sapporo City, and they have to be rectified. We clarified the basic data to rectify the illegal buildings in the urbanization control areas in Sapporo City. Through the regional characteristics of the location of illegal buildings and the factor analysis, we revealed the following. The major factors that affect the number and types of illegal buildings in Sapporo are as follows: 1) The geographical characteristics of Sapporo City, 2) former laws and zoning for residential districts, 3) the size of urbanization control areas, and 4) transportation infrastructure systems. |
