Zusammenfassung: | Precision truing technology for electroplated CBN wheels with small diameter was developed using a high-speed rotated quartz plate under constant pressure. The effects of quartz truing within a relatively short time were confirmed by determining the exact protrusion height and the increase in number of active abrasive grains on the wheel working area. Superior grinding performance with good surface roughness could be achieved by increasing quartz truing time. The on-the-machine quartz truing using a quartz block was newly developed for widespread adoption in production sites, and the effects of quartz truing on vitrified and resin-bonded CBN wheels were examined. Finally, the provision of microbubbles to the grinding fluids improved the surface roughness and the generation of wheel loading. |
