Camus's Pulp Fiction

Abecassis rejects the view that the trial in "L'etranger" is a metaphor allowing for a moral and ethical interpretation. He prefers to interpret the novel's appeal as the result of its sense of "pulp fiction"--a mundane description of the banality of everyday life.
