Zusammenfassung: | In this work we continue the analysis of a radiation pattern of the leaky coaxial cable (LCC). We concentrate on the influence of geometry of braided cable shields and the jacket material on redistribution of field pattern both across and along the LCC system. The main goal of that investigation is to predict the fraction of the power radiated in the external region and the fraction converted into a surface wave supported by the dielectric jacket, as well as to find the possibility of controlling the directional features of the radiation pattern across and along the LCC using different geometry of shield structures and various dielectric material for the outer jacket. This is necessary both for open and buried installations of radar and/or communication systems in clutter conditions. The recipe on how the propagation parameters of the radiated field of the LCC can be controlled and regulated by change of the properties of the insulation jacket, with account of losses in sub-soil medium, and by change of outer jacket lossy layer thickness is done using results of theoretical prediction. |
