Zusammenfassung: | A beam deflector formed by two modules of permanent dipole magnets is proposed. Each module is assembled of permanent neodymium (NdFeB) magnets as magnetic elements. The design allows for controlling the absolute value and azimuth of the beam-deflection angle by rotating the modules with respect to each other. The proposed device can be used as a beam-trajectory corrector. Compared to existing beam correctors, the proposed device has smaller dimensions for a given field integral, is more reliable, and needs lower running costs. |
