Zusammenfassung:The performance of solid-state nanopore chemical sensor is analyzed in this paper with respect to sensitivity and detection limit. A simplified analytical model is derived to provide better understanding on the conductivity change of nanopores with respect to the radius, ionic concentration, and surface charge density. The paper shows that the sensitivity and limit of detection can be optimized by working in a background solution of low ionic concentration solution (in the range of mM) and high mobility cation, with an appropriate high input voltage. The current noise is analyzed in the form of current power spectra density, which act as a solid support for understanding the noise behavior and detection resolution analysis.
