Synthesis and some properties of 2,4,6-trihydroxy-3-methylbenzoic acid

2,4,6-Trihydroxy-3-methylbenzoic acid was obtained by NaHCO 3 carboxylation of 2,4,6-trihydroxytoluene. The heterocyclization and esterification of the above acid were studied.
