Zusammenfassung:Medrzecki discusses the relations between the German and Ukrainian governments towards the end of World War I. He also explores the peace talks between the representatives of the Central Powers and the Bolsheviks, which began without the participation of delegates of the Ukrainian National Republic (UNR). The talks commenced early in the month of Dec 1917, not long after the UNR had been proclaimed on Nov 20, albeit still in federation with Russia.
