Zusammenfassung:In March 1998, he retired from his academic position as a professor of the Department of Hygiene and Public Health, School of Medicine, Iwate Medical University, Morioka, Japan. Dr Tsunoda's fluoride studies included broad epidemiological studies among local inhabitants and field studies. Because the pollution of underground water by fluoride in Japan is quite rare, Dr Tsunoda was one of only a very small number of scientists in the country who were concerned with studying the toxicity of fluoride.
