Zusammenfassung: | [...]within a very short space of time, we moved from having subject-based workshops only and no workshop leader training, to a comprehensive and successful array of offerings that have continued to flourish. [...]we established and maintained relationships with schools that allowed for a healthy and necessary mix of both formal and informal interaction. The project included the four local primary schools where the student teachers completed their practice teaching. Since 2003, the entire faculty of the Kandal Teacher Training College, all teachers at the four local primary schools, over 2500 student teachers, and nearly 8000 primary school children in Kandal Province have benefited from teaching methods that are more interactive and child-friendly. The diversity of IB Asia Pacific is captured beautifully in the reflections of Stephen Keegan, Regional Manager IB Diploma Programme, who was based in Singapore: The job was a delight: a spirit of collaboration and a sense of service in a culture of optimism, respect and achievement. |
