Zusammenfassung:Upper extremity ischemia is a relatively rare phenomenon. A case of recurrent, surgically correctable, acute digital ischemia in a worker in the maple syrup industry is presented. The present case illustrates the importance of recognizing occupational exposure to risk factors. A review of the differential diagnosis, clinical work-up and literature surrounding acute vascular occlusion of the hand and upper extremity is presented.
