The Particularizing of Universal Judgment in Prophetic Discourse

In some speeches of prophetic judgment, the prophet announces impending doom against a particular nation, city or group of people on the basis of universal judgment. The frequency of this kind of particularizing argument in the corpous of texts known as the Latter Prophets is examined.
