Zusammenfassung: | In this paper we give a proposal for the transient behaviour of a cold-started fluorescent lamp, from the generation of the first conductive channel over the normal and abnormal glow discharge and the glow-to-arc (GTA) transition to the arc discharge in the steady state. Starting from the equilibrium voltage-current characteristics of the lamp and considering recent experimental results a qualitative description of the transient regime is developed, which was so far not available in the literature. |
