Zedekiah in the Book of Jeremiah: On the Formation of a Biblical Character

An examination of the Book of Jeremiah shows that the judgment on Zedekiah was not always as harsh as it is found in Chronicles. The various evaluations of Zedekiah in Jeremiah are discussed.
