New Light on the "20. and Odd Negroes" Arriving in Virginia, August 1619

Speculation on what ship brought 20 blacks to Virginia in August of 1619 is presented. It is believed that the men were brought aboard a ship that had attacked the slave ship San Juan Bautista.
