According to ISO 20795-1:2008 (ISO, 2008), the flexural strength of polymeric materials must be at least 50 MPa15. [...]an ideal denture base material should exhibit least or no water sorption. According to ISO standards specification 1567:199922 the maximum allowable water sorption by both heat and self-cure denture base materials must be 32 pg/mm and the water solubility must not exceed 1.6 pg/mm3 for heat-cured, and 8.0 pg/mm3 for self-cured matrials.
