Relationship between the Dose of Noise Exposure with Sleep Quality and Noise Annoyance in Industrial Workers
According to above table, there was no significant relationship between noise dose, self-reported noise pollution, noise annoyance and sleep quality. According to results, the mean score of sleep quality was 6.18, which is higher than 5, suggesting that sleep quality of workers was poor. [...]there...

Zusammenfassung: | According to above table, there was no significant relationship between noise dose, self-reported noise pollution, noise annoyance and sleep quality. According to results, the mean score of sleep quality was 6.18, which is higher than 5, suggesting that sleep quality of workers was poor. [...]there was no significant relationship between noise exposure and sleep quality; this can be attributed to the fact that many interfering factors were effective on sleep quality of people. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that aging causes people to suffer from hearing loss at high frequencies, which reduces sensitivity to moderate and high frequencies. [...]it can be claimed that older people receive more noise at lower frequencies because of the reduced overlapping effect of underlying noises.32 Therefore, future works are suggested to address these factors. According to studies suggesting that noise can influence focus, attention, alertness, accuracy, and stress with respect to personality, as well as contradictory results of other studies and due to few studies regarding noise annoyance level based on individual differences, further studies are required in this regard. |
