Zusammenfassung: | Detailed geomorphological mapping in the northern (Polish) part of the Giant Mountains revealed landform assemblages left by 70 debris fows of various ages. The majority of flows occurred within the former glacial cirques, particularly in the Lomniczka Cirque and the Maly Staw Cirque. The longest ffow tracks exceeded 400 m and terminated within the forest belt. Debris flows are triggered by high intensity rainfall events which occur mainly in the summer season.
