Zusammenfassung:The antioxidant activity was made by the different assay DPPH, superoxide anion radical scavenging, nitric oxide scavenging activity methods and Anti-diabetic activity done by a inhibition method. [...]the present study was carried out to evaluate super critical fluid extraction of dried leaves of Ocimum sanctum L. 2.0 MATERIAL AND METHOD: 2.1 Chemicals: 1,1-diphenyl-2- picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), sodium nitroprusside, sulfanilamide, N-1naphthylethylenediaminedihydrochloride, ascorbic acid, ethylenediamine tetra-acetic acid, phosphoric acid, naphthylethylenediaminedihydrochloride, nitro blue tetrazolium, acarbose, etc. The absorbance of the chromophore formed during diazotization of the nitrite with sulphanilic acid and subsequent coupling with N-1-naphthylethylene diaminedihydrochloride was measured at 546 nm and percentage scavenging activity was measured with reference to standard. 2.6 Scavenging of Superoxide Radical by Alkaline DMSO Method (7): In alkaline DMSO method, superoxide radical is generated by the addition of sodium hydroxide to air saturated DMSO.
