The paper is aimed at categorisation of forest ecosystems in the Giant Mts. (Krkonose in Czech) from the aspect of leaving them to spontaneous development without any treatments or after special-purpose treatments carried out in a diferent time horizon. Special forest maps constructed on the basis of data acquired by remote sensing of the Earth were used for forest ecosystem categorisation. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
