Zusammenfassung: | The subject of occupational safety and health is a microcosm of the problems and challenges that face Mexico in the years ahead. Increased world prosperity, the entrance of Mexico into the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the emergence of a two-political-party system in the country all help explain improved past and future economic prospects. Developments will be closely watched and monitored within the country by the NAFTA and the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) trade partners and the world, however, as transparency exposes the challenges and the opportunities for improved occupational safety and health in Mexico. |
