Zusammenfassung: | Adolescent suicide is a tremendous worldwide problem. This special issue of the International Journal of Behavioral Consultation and Therapy (IJBCT) arises from the need for more attention on how treatment and assessment can be geared to address this serious problem. The authors of this special issue of IJBCT were asked to draw upon their expertise in the assessment and treatment of suicidal behaviors in adolescents to provide insights into this significant problem. The issue includes two subsets of articles. The first subset is a section of reviews of the literature regarding critical issues in the assessment and treatment of adolescent suicidal behaviors. Each of the second subset of articles identifies and reviews a specific approach to adolescent suicide. As a collection, this set of contributions provides a window into the cutting edge of the field. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2023 APA, all rights reserved) |
