Zusammenfassung: | [...]from the study it can be concluded that basil oil, ethanolic extract of neem can be used for the treatment of acne vulgaris. [...]natural substances from plants may be promising candidates to treat this disease (2). [...]from this study, the greater activity has shown by the glycyrrhizinic acid as compared to Glycyrrhiza glabra extract as well as standard tetracycline disc and dalacin™ (1%clindamycin phosphate solution) as positive control. The chemical constituent such as saponin, phenol, steroids, terpenoids which are present in the above extracts may be responsible for that said activity. [...]these plant extracts was found to have good potency against acne inducing bacteria, so it can be used to develop antiacne formulation and can be tested on preclinical and clinical study further. |
