Zusammenfassung:Nowadays, the entire book printing, binding, publishing, distribution, and selling industry attempts to draw on an "inventory of paratextual elements" to carry its ideological meanings around. Following Gerard Genette's stipulation, "paratexts" are the liminal devices that mediate as "thresholds" between "the world of publishing and the world of the text." They are subdivided into the peritext and the epitext based on their spatial position.
