Zusammenfassung:Six months before presentation, he underwent transcatheter repair with percutaneous mitral valve (MV) repair device for secondary MR (MitraClip, Abbott Structural, Menlo Park, California) at an outside institution with placement of 2 devices. Treatment with a second percutaneous MV repair procedure was not considered a possibility due to risk of creating mitral stenosis (baseline mean mitral gradient 3.3 mm Hg; mitral valve area 1.8 cm2). Two, separate transseptal punctures from the right femoral vein were then performed to simultaneously place two 8.5-F, medium-curve steerable Agilis catheters (St. Jude Medical/Abbott Vascular, Santa Clara, California) in the left atrium, with 1 catheter on each side of the remaining MitraClip bridge.
