Zusammenfassung:	According to provincial officials, the attack caused more than 147 casualties, many of whom were civilians. According to a US military spokesman, intelligence suggested that Mullah Mustafa had ties with individual members of Iran's Quds Force. The demonstrations took place in Aden, the former capital of South Yemen, and Mukallah. Since the beginning of 2009 there had been sporadic clashes involving south Yemenis protesting their treatment by the government in the north.
