PENGALAMAN DAN FAKTOR PENGABAIAN WARGA EMAS DALAM KOMUNITI/(Experiences and Factors of Negligence among Elderly in Community)

Studies in the neglect issues among older people by the adult children rarely reported and less exposure on this matter. The main objective of this study is to understand old people experience that are neglect by the adult children in the community; explore factors that promote effectiveness of neglect and examine the role of social workers in dealing with the problem the neglect in the community. Methodology in this study was used qualitative approach to obtain information related to the neglect in older persons phenomenon among adult children. Location studies identified through a partnership with the Community Welfare Department (JKM) which is through the 'Home Help Services' program. Sampling sized in the study which is five of the informants who have selected with criteria which is the old peoples over 60 years old, a citizen of an old persons who lived alone and who experienced neglect out of the physical, emotional, and financial and material. In the process of dealing data, reseacher has transcribed data in the form of appointment springing and set aside by the themes which have been determined. Tematic analysis was used in this study to understand with in-depth about the neglect phenomenon that occurred in the old persons by adult children. The results of this study that is derived through studies that run which is where main factors that lead to effectiveness of neglect by the children of old citizens of adult citizens for himself is an old man who inflicted on children adult and children adult who concerned with career/stay apart from each other with old citizens. Generally, this study gives the implications for the neglect of old issues among children in adult which is with a little gain as much as the results of this study obtained can help in dealing with this problem the neglect that has increased from time to time. In addition, can identify the role social worker in prevent and overcome the problems in the neglect among citizens by the children of old adults.
