Zusammenfassung:An abstract of Sheehan-Smith et al's study, which assessed the "Discovering Healthy Families" (DHF) program, is presented. DHF, a family-focused program was operated through the a children's museum and structured around the assumption that a healthy family is a project of discovery, and the key element to improving lifestyle habits in the family unit. Its aim was to empower families to improve their eating and exercise habits. Moreover, the results of this pilot program show the promise. Furthermore, it is noted that plans are underway for implementing the next DHF program. Moreover, the study results show that the program is beneficial. The program's special events are also found to be worthwhile. The parent's eating habits and physical activity levels show some improvements. Thus, the parents were satisfied with coaching provided to them through this program. Based on the promising results of this pilot program, plans are underway for implementing the next DHF program.
